Pulse report spotlight: Reduced energy footprint

Energy is one of the improvement levers outlined in the 2017 Pulse of the Fashion Industry report’s Landscape for Change. With its high global-warming footprint, the energy-intensive processing stage is an obvious area to start improving.

Energy is the largest individual value opportunity to the world economy, with many solutions for improved efficiency already available. 

The energy-efficiency potential is greatest in the least-developed countries, where most fashion products are made. There are, however, also ways for more developed manufacturing countries to improve.
