ABOUT DIGITAL MATCHMAKING
Similar to the physical Innovation Forum, CFS+ includes our signature matchmaking event, powered by Target. This year’s digital matchmaking is a special opportunity for participating brands and retailers to receive an individually tailored match with sustainable solution providers. The matches, like the Innovation Forum itself, is curated by the Global Fashion Agenda.
Designed specifically to help fashion businesses connect with the right collaborators, the Innovation Forum features cutting-edge inventions and ideas revolutionising the fashion system.
This year, brands and retailers can be matched with a wide array of innovators, including companies that produce bio-tech textiles from algae, cactus leather, water- and waste-reducing dying processes, virtual 3D design and sizing tools and many, many more.
How does matchmaking work?
After registering, participants are invited to fill out a survey to specify their solution preferences and their company details. This information is used to match them with solution providers where there is basis for future collaboration. Online meetings are then pre-scheduled for the participants – all you need to do is show up!
When is digital matchmaking?
Digital matchmaking takes place as part of CFS+ on 12 and 13 October. The time of your 25-minute meeting will depend on your and the solution provider(s) availability and time zones.
Where can I see the solution providers?
All of the solution providers participating in matchmaking are part of the digital Innovation Forum. You can learn more about each solution provider on their individual page in the digital Innovation Forum.
How do I sign up for matchmaking?
You can register your interest in matchmaking when you register for CFS+ which will give you a direct link to fill out the matchmaking survey. If you have already registered for CFS+, you can sign up for matchmaking here.
When is the deadline for signing up?
You can sign up anytime, however, in order for GFA to have sufficient time to match and schedule participants, we urge you to fill the survey out as soon as possible.
I’ve filled out the survey, now what?
We will be creating the matches continuously on a first-come-first-serve basis, and will begin sending out notes for scheduled meetings from early October.
How many meetings will I receive?
The number of meetings you receive will depend on (i) your preferences and requirements and (ii) the solution providers availability and preferences. There is only a limited number of solution providers available, so it is not a guarantee that there is a solution provider who fits your specific needs. If you have limited time available, you are able to specify the maximum number of meetings you want to attend. Each meeting is 25 minutes.
I’m not a brand or retailer, can I still sign up for matchmaking?
The programme is designed for brand and retailers who want to meet solution provider, but anyone can sign up and fill out the survey. Note, however, that we may not be unable to consider all variables provided by companies, and the matches may thus be of lower quality. Additionally, we also consider the preferences that solution providers provide for companies they would like to meet, which may limit the number of available solutions. Finally, it is only possible to meet with solution providers who are part of digital Innovation Forum.
