As  part of the development of  a strategy on  climate action,  Filippa  K partnered with TrusTrace  to find a way to calculate and lower their ecological footprint across the entire value chain. 

The blockchain powered platform functions with the combination of digital solutions and advancements in physical tagging to trace the products through the entire value chain. This helps Filippa K to assess  the  environmental and social  footprint  across all stages of the product life-cycle. The platform leverages techniques such as pattern detection and optical character recognition to further validate the accuracy  of the traceability and ESG  information. After the successful pilot project of  Filippa  K’s Front Runner line, the solution is now being rolled out across all product lines as well  as  for ten other Swedish brands. The platform is being used by over 300 suppliers across more than 20 countries in order to share traceability and sustainability information.

The future of this partnership depicts potential for a supply chain and material risk assessment visualization tool to aid quick business decisions  and the possibility for companies to share product certifications with third party e-commerce platforms and audit agencies.
