Fashion CEO Agenda Launch Event
WEDNESDAY 12 MAY 2021, 15.00-17.30 CEST
Global Fashion Agenda, the leadership forum guiding the fashion industry to take urgent action on sustainability, will host its first online Fashion CEO Agenda Event on 12 May 2021 to present the new Fashion CEO Agenda framework and vision. Intended as a tool for industry leaders, the publication will present five priorities that businesses should focus on in order to secure prosperity for people and communities while working within planetary boundaries. During the event, participants will discuss definitions of prosperity from different perspectives and the urgent action that is needed to achieve it.
Participants include senior executives from global brands and manufacturers including: Bill Foudy, President, Target; David Schneider, Co-CEO, Zalando; Helena Helmersson, CEO, H&M; James Bartle, Founder & CEO, Outland Denim; Joey Zwillinger, CEO, Allbirds; Miran Ali Managing Director, Bitopi Group; Nicolaj Reffstrup, Founder, Ganni; Patrik Silén, Chief Strategy Officer, ASOS; Patrick Ho, Group Managing Director, Fung Group; Roger Lee, CEO TAL Apparel and Chekwas Okafor, CEO, ONCHEK.
The fashion and manufacturing executives will be joined by sustainability, consulting and finance experts from companies such as McKinsey & Co, Sustainalytics, Full Cycle and Platform Living Wage Financials.
Recognising the importance for collective action and organisational alignment, the event will also bring together experts from impactful organisations such as Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP), Textile Exchange, Apparel Impact Institute (AII), International Labour Organization (ILO), Ellen MacArthur Foundation and Fair Wear Foundation.
Published annually, the Fashion CEO Agenda is co-authored by Global Fashion Agenda’s strategic partners: ASOS, Bestseller, Fung Group, H&M Group, Kering, Nike, PVH, Sustainable Apparel Coalition and Target, and is designed to mobilise and guide the fashion industry to take action. It reflects global developments and acts as a consolidated industry framework for sustainability to address how leaders can play an active role in the acceleration of more sustainable practices and business models and improve industry performance.
